Needless to say I am super excited, almost giddy like a child after this announcement. But at the same time, I’m worried these won’t be able to recapture the magic of Pokemon X and Y last year.
I distinctly remember when Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire were first released. It was a week or so after my birthday, so I could buy the game with my sweet, sweet birthday money. I got Pokemon Ruby on release day and sat on the couch exploring the new world of Pokemon for seemingly ever as family members came and went as they continued their lives. I distinctly remember breaking news of the Iraq war starting cutting into whatever show everyone else was watching as I just sat there exploring Hoenn for the first time. Between the war in Iraq, and new Pokemon games that week would go down in history forever.
