Yes, you read that correctly–it’s finally happening.
Sony announced on Jan. 4 at CES 2014 that fans will be able to play games from Playstation 1, 2 and 3 on the Playstation 4 with the summer release of Sony’s new streaming service Playstation Now. This service will also be available on the Playstation 3 and PS Vita.
President of Sony Computer Entertainment, Andrew House, made the announcement at Sony’s presentation Tuesday also stating that a closed beta will start at the end of January.
According to the presentation, gamers will be able to rent individual titles or purchase subscriptions for multiple games.
Playstation Now will also include Cloud saving so users will be able to play the same game across multiple devices.
Is this service what you’ve all been waiting for from Sony? Or are you still unimpressed with the PS4?
